Happy Saturday

"Slowly she spread her arms and stood there swan-like, radiating a pride in her young perfection that lit a warm glow in his heart."

Airport Cafe

airport

airport
this is me attempting to crop the photo is see my outfit better, but since I just had my point and shoot and not my DSLR, the photo quality isn't the greatest.

There's this great little cafe at the airport about a half hour away from my house. It's a regional airport so it's only Cessnas and helicopters and other small planes, but it's so fun to go sit out on the patio of the cafe and watch planes land and take off. You're literally right next to the runway.

So today both my sister's and niece and nephew and me ate lunch there, and snapped a couple of pictures with the display airplane in the parking lot. It's always really fun, and the chicken quesadilla was delightful!

This is what I wore to my niece's dance recital today. She was so cute in her little pink tutu and tap shoes-- she did such a good job! Yay Ella!

Can you believe I got this dress for $15 at Marshall's? I'm on a roll this week!

Happy Saturday

"But Mole stood still a moment, held in thought. As one wakened suddenly from a beautiful dream, who struggles to recall it, but can recapture nothing but a dim sense of the beauty in it, the beauty! Till that, too, fades away in it's turn, and the dreamer bitterly accepts the hard, cold waking and all it's penalties."

Spectacular

Spectacular

spectacular

I mentioned a couple posts ago that I bought 3 pairs of shoes the other day-- and here is one of them. These are the most SPECtacular shoes (and not just because they're SPECtators, har har) and guess where I got them from? Kohl's! I know, can you believe that? And you know what's even better? THEY WERE ON SALE. And I found them by accident, believe it or not. I happened to spot them on my way to the children's shoes to look for my niece and I walked right into these little puppies. I had to stop in my tracks and try them on. I was looking at them on my feet in the mirror when this random lady walked by me and stops and goes, "Those are so cute!" I'm like, "I know, right?!" and I knew I had to get them even though they were $50. So I go to check out and my total's racking up from other miscellaneous items I'm buying (including this shirt) and the shoes are the last to be scanned. I held my breath as the cashier scanned them knowing my total was going to go up $50 when all the sudden I see "$17.99" on the screen. My mom and I just looked at each other in disbelief.

and on top of that, my mom had a 30% off coupon so the shoes ended up being a little over $13. It was amazing. I was more than willing to pay $50 for them and I ended up getting them for $13. I feel like these shoes are going to bring me incredible luck. My mom even went back and got a pair for herself because they were such a good deal. They're still on the site, so what are you waiting for?!

Time Lapse Sunset

Today I decided to try to attempt a time lapse video with a series of pictures. Hopefully my next one will be better, but I still thought this one was delightful. Trial and error, right?

2.Urban Outfitters, $78.00
3.Delia's, $59.50
4. Net-a-Porter, $895
5. Modcloth, $109.99
6. Ruche, $68.99
7. ASOS, $185
8. ASOS, $93
9. Miss Selfridge, £50.00

Apparently, I'm a little late on this trend since I'm pulling images from Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 runway looks, but I still can't get enough of these boots. I like to called them "adventure boots" since it looks like the type of shoes you'd wear on an adventure... with Indiana Jones or perhaps a safari. There absolutely needs to be a pair of these in my fall wardrobe. No exceptions.

What do you guys think? Love 'em? Hate 'em?

Summer Days

Today was spent babysitting my nephew, watching both the Toy Story DVDs, Bar b que, and some swimming. Since my sister was over, I thought maybe she could recreate the same magic she did with last year's bathing suit cover-up photos with this year's bathing suit cover. I must say, it's neck and neck. I really love both sets of pictures. She really knows how to capture the perfect lighting. So Thank you, Jessica!

I'm completely in love with this bathing suit cover. I'm not even sure if that's what it's suppose to be, but since it's almost completely see-thru, that's what I'm using it for. I can't get enough of it!

Long Story Short

7/16

7/16

7/16

7/16

I feel like in all these pictures I'm trying to pose like I'm a supermodel, which kind of makes me laugh. Maybe subconsciously I am, even though while I'm doing it all I'm worried about is keeping my eyes open not look like I'm dazed and/or confused. So... anyone need a 5'4" model? wink wink.

But in other news, today was another scorcher, but I got to hang out with my good friend Kelsey who's visiting from Arizona, and hanging out with her is always a blast... AND I got THREE pairs of shoes today, all on sale. But they deserve a post all their own.
